YESTAT Aid youth football team emerged as the National Youth Champions in 2025. After months of training, mentorship, and support under the SEQUIP II initiative, our players demonstrated extraordinary teamwork, discipline, and leadership on and off the field.
The championship victory highlights the critical role of sports in developing life skills among young Tanzanians. SEQUIP II, in collaboration with the Ministry of Education and TAMISEMI, provided the necessary support for infrastructure, coaching, and talent nurturing.
"Through sports and mentorship, our youth have learned discipline, teamwork, and resilience – preparing them for a brighter future."
Five players from the YESTAT Lions team have been scouted by Tanzanian Premier League clubs, showcasing that community programs can lead to professional opportunities for talented youth. The team continues to train weekly at local community centers with ongoing support from YESTAT Aid.
YESTAT Aid thanks all supporters, sponsors, and community members who made this achievement possible. Programs like SEQUIP II continue to transform lives and empower young leaders across Tanzania.
